What I Ate the Last 5 Days

February 25, 2014 · 6 comments

So, I went to upload photos this morning, and realized that you guys haven’t seen my eats since Thursday. I’m not about to try and remember the order of 5 days of eating 😉

Instead, I’m going to give you a peak inside what I’ve been eating the last 5 days. There’s been some great food!

Friday morning, I went to Breakfast with my friend Kelsey. This was so nice to catch up with her! I ate the fruit + half of my sandwich for breakfast, and saved the other half for lunch.

I was out all day Friday. I went to breakfast, the Coffee Shop to work, then my friend Aubrey met me for Coffee… then had a relaxing evening at home. It was so, so nice. I just layer on my bed for a while, with all of my work done, wondering what I wanted to do. Let me tell you – I haven’t had that feeling in a while!

Isn’t it so nice just to have nothing to do every once in a while?

Saturday morning, Marco and I got breakfast burritos, and then went and registered for our Wedding! This was so fun. It’s such a special time for the two of us. Guess what a registered for? Yep! A VitaMix! Haha, am I just being hopeful? Maybe a few people will pitch in together? Fingers crossed!

Yesterday morning we had these little egg & salsa roll-ups. I remember these every once in a while, and love having them for breakfast!

I’ve had Coffee with friends

Fruit for snacks

De-friggin-licious Talenti Belgium Milk Chocolate Ice Cream Petite Treats (2 scoops)

My Dad’s incredible tostadas

Cheese-less pizza! Homemade :)

And the very best night of the whole weekend… Marco and I had the house to ourselves. We turned on Pandora, and the first song that came on is the song we’re going to have our first dance to!

If you’re married, what was your first dance song? If you’re not married, do you have any idea what it will be?

I drank a glass of wine while making dinner

We had a bread + olive oil & balsamic for an appetizer

I made us caesar salad with homemade croutons

And pasta with red sauce and jalapeño chicken, italian sausage

This was such a nice evening. Earlier in the day, when I found out no one would be home at night, I got the idea that I could use that opportunity to ask Marco what he wanted for dinner, and make him a really nice dinner, and just enjoy our time together.

He requested pasta with caesar salad :)

I honestly just loved this evening. After dinner, we rode our bikes around, got a mini Haagen Daaz Peanut Butter Chocolate to split, and ended the night with a movie.

I love being in conversation with you all, here’s a question re-cap from this post. I’d love to hear what you have to say!

  • Isn’t it so nice just to have nothing to do every once in a while?
  • If you’re married, what was your first dance song? If you’re not yet married, do you have any idea what it will be?

having nothing to do once in a while is my favorite thing to look forward :) i’m in grad school right now and mon-thurs are packed from morning to late night with classes, meetings, gym, studying, etc. i love most moments of it, but also can’t wait until thursday night when i can take a step back and enjoy the next few days before crazy starts up again =D

I totally agree :) Busy is great too, but sometimes it just feels so good to think “what should I do next?”
